At the Fountain Foundation, through entertainment and sports, our mission is to ignite the full potential of marginalized youth by providing transformative, hands-on learning and internship experiences in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and leadership. We are committed to equipping young people with the confidence, skills, and access needed to thrive—regardless of their background or circumstances.

Meet Our Founder
Askia Fountain is a Grammy Award–winning entertainment executive,
brand strategist, and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience, known
for shaping cultural moments with icons like Nas and Nipsey Hussle. Born
and raised in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, Askia’s entrepreneurial spirit was
sparked early, watching his late mother—a beloved family and community
pillar—work as a hairstylist. Through FEG Brands MGMT, he’s driven over
$40M in sales while championing minority representation in retail.
Now, with the Fountain Foundation, created in dedication to his mother,
Askia is empowering youth with mentorship, financial literacy, and
leadership opportunities to improve graduation rates, reduce dropouts, and
boost college and entrepreneurial success. In her honor, the foundation offers a cosmetology scholarship bearing her name, helping kids from the city
pursue their passions and build brighter futures.
