The Fountain Foundation was born from a simple yet powerful belief: every young person deserves the opportunity to dream big, discover their gifts, and create a future full of possibility.

Founded by Grammy Award–winning entertainment executive and entrepreneur Askia Fountain, the foundation carries forward a legacy of resilience, creativity, and service inspired by his late mother, a beloved hairstylist and community pillar in Muskegon Heights, Michigan. Her example of hard work, compassion, and dedication to family became the cornerstone of our mission—empowering the next generation to thrive.

What started as a tribute has grown into a movement. The Fountain Foundation is committed to transforming lives by opening doors to education, mentorship, and hands-on experiences in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, leadership, entertainment, sports, and STEAM. We are here to help young people see themselves as leaders, innovators, and changemakers—no matter their zip code or circumstances.

From sponsoring summer camps and masterclasses to creating internships and scholarships, we exist to ignite confidence, expand access, and foster a sense of belonging for marginalized youth across Michigan and beyond.
